We had to listen to two podcast from last year's classes. The two podcast that I choose were Watchers and listeners-How do we respond?and Reflections On "The last lecture of Randy Pausch". Podcast are online conversation about different topics that can be argued or just discussed. The podcast the student's from last year's class had to be more on technology then anything else. The first podcast I listened to was Watchers and listeners.
This podcast conceded of three students and the the teacher Dr. Strange. To say that this podcast had problems I can't really say because it did have the professor involved. The team themselves seemed to have there ideas well put together and it did not seemed staged and practiced which is how podcast should be. Just laid back conversation on a topic that interest you. They knew their information very well and spoke about it in a intellectual way. I think that maybe having the teacher involved though hinder them because they may did not talk has freely because the topic at head was the professor article. Over all though the podcast was very well done and not many mistakes that I could see.
The next podcast that I listen to was Reflections On "The last lecture of Randy Pausch". The reason I choose this particular podcast was because it seemed interesting and I wanted to see the difference between having the teacher involved and not involved. They had a conversation which I thought was well done. Although I don't know how interested they were into the topic. However I do believe that not having the teacher involved in the podcast did help them out. They were allowed a little more freedom to express maybe ideas and opinions.
Over all the two podcast were very well done. I think the podcast that I do needs to be very conversational so that it relates to many people. It needs to be relative information and it needs to be interesting. The people also need to try and enjoy their podcast while they are doing it, in hopes that people might get more interested in listening to it.
